Passion and Compassion Evening

Organized by the Old Brewery Mission’s Services for Women Advisory Committee, the Passion and Compassion is our flagship fundraising events. All the collected funds go to our Services for Women.

Over 225 guests came together on June 11th 2012 at the Crowley Arts Centre for the Old Brewery Mission’s Passion & Compassion evening, its flagship fundraising event. Patrons of Honour Barbara, Claudine and Stephen Bronfman gave a moving tribute to the late Andrée Beaulieu, a champion for the homeless, especially women living on the streets.

Lise Watier, Mila Mulroney, former Auditor General of Canada L. Denis Desautels and many other guests enjoyed a concert by Quebec’s dynamic entertainer Gregory Charles and a powerful exhibition on the plight of homeless women in Montreal, as seen through the eyes of renowned photographer Tim Georgeson.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the evening’s success filled with music and dance which also allowed the Mission to raise a great amount of $ 235 000 which will be invested in the emergency, transition and housing services for homeless women at the Old Brewery Mission.
