In Kind Donations

Old Brewery Mission MontrealFor more than 120 years, the Old Brewery Mission has provided emergency shelter, food and clean clothes to Montreal’s most vulnerable citizens - homeless men and women.

Each year the Old Brewery Mission benefits from the generosity of corporate and individual donors who provide in-kind donations of food, household and personal items, and professional services

In-kind donations improve our bottom line by limiting the money we expend in purchasing these items. With the current economic challenges and the ever increasing number of people in need, your support is truly appreciated in both helping us save money and providing for our clients.

Unfortunately, the Old Mission Brewery is unable to pick-up your in-kind donations.  Once you have received approval for your donation by contacting Christopher Quinn, your donation can be dropped-off at 915 Clark, corner of Saint-Antoine in Montreal 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Food

Close to 400,000 meals are served every year at the Old Brewery Mission thanks to numerous partners such as restaurants, hotels and businesses.

  • If you have surplus canned goods, dry goods, or perishable food for donation please call Christopher Quinn, In-Kind Donations Assistant Director, at 514 821-4743 or reach her at cquinn@oldbrewerymission.ca
  • The Mission also receives donations of larger amounts of perishable food such as baked goods, or catering items that are left over from an event or conference.  Please contact Kim at the coordinates above to discuss donation of these items.

Clothing, Household Goods and Personal Items

The Old Brewery Mission has a clothing service for clients that is coordinated by a team of employees and volunteers who receive, sort and distribute all donations.

Clothing and shoes for all season (new or in good shape), sheets, blankets, and towels are urgently needed to meet the needs of the 150,000 client stays provided annually. New, plastic-covered single mattresses are also needed along with light bulbs, cleaning products and other useful household products.

The Old Brewery Mission provides showers to more than 400 clients each night. Donations of toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposable razors, shaving cream, soap, shampoo and other personal hygiene products for men and women are always welcome.

Other items
