Foundation

In October 2014, we launched the See the End of Homelessness 2014-2020 Major Fundraising Campaign. Thanks to the commitment of our board members and their dedication to ending chronic homelessness, our campaign got off to a successful start, raising $31.5 million from private corporations and individuals. With a goal of raising a total of $55.5 million from both private and public sources over the next four years, it is the largest in the history of the Old Brewery Mission.

The Mission continues to count on the generosity of its donors – numbering 9,000 individuals, corporations and private foundations in Montreal. These include:

  • The late Paul Guy Desmarais (1927-2013), whose exceptional contribution to the Mission inspired true change
  • Jean Coutu and his family, after whom the Mission’s Marcelle & Jean Coutu Pavilion is named
  • Lise Watier, founder of Lise Watier Cosmétiques, which donates 100% of the revenues from its ‘Sparkle of Hope’ lip gloss to the Lise Watier Foundation, which donates to many of the Mission’s programs for women, including the Lise Watier Pavilion
  • Ann and the late Denis Barclay, whose support towards the Mission’s Women’s Services continues to transform the lives of homeless women
  • The Echo Foundation, The George Hogg Family Foundation, The J.W. McConnell Family Foundation, the Molson Family, R. Howard Webster Foundation, and The Tenaquip Foundation

To make the Old Brewery Mission’s plan to end chronic homelessness a reality, it is essential that we act collectively to bring about a solution. Because every contribution adds up. And, because homelessness is our collective responsability.
